LSM Medical Clinic in Northern Moldova----Comforting body and soul!
Nina is a 70 year old widow who lives with her son and her widowed daughter. Mrs. Nina has diabetes and other health problems. Her 400 lei (33 USD) pension is not enough for food and firewood, so in the winter time when it is cold outside she uses sun-flower stalks in order to make the fire. Her daughter is also ill; she couldn't work anymore because of her condition. Mrs. Nina’s grandson also struggles with his health and for this reason, he cannot keep a job permanently because he is in the hospital frequently. The Little Samaritan Mission medical clinic in Sofia offers them hope. When they need medicines and medical assistance, they come to the LSM clinic where they receive free medicine and assistance.
Maria is an elderly woman who lives alone because she has no living relatives. She worked in the fields her entire life, but the pension she receives is not enough for many of the necessary things she needs like food and medication. Her health is fragile and she needs certain medicines to help with her condition. Most of the medication is too expensive and she cannot afford it. For the past 7 years she receives free medication for hypertension and diabetes from the Little Samaritan medical clinic. The first time she came to the clinic the workers there told her also about Jesus Christ and prayed with her. After a while Ms. Maria started attending church. Today she is a Christian and she tells everybody about the impact our clinic has had on her physical health and most importantly on her soul. Mrs. Maria: “I am very thankful for all the assistance I have received from your ministry. Every medication I receive from you means a new day for me because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford it. Your help means a lot to me. I listen to the Word of God on the radio you gave me and I am thankful that you take care both of my body and my soul. May God bless you!”
